I know there is only one picture for this post, but I finally finished it!!! (This is one project I started last summer, and just now got around to putting on finishing touches). Left to right: Lauren, Me, Emily, Kate (Original photo: courtesy of Jarrod) I also have many other projects that I have started a long time ago and I want to try and finish them this summer. Looking for Grad Schools

Bananas! I started looking at grad schools recently because I wanted to actually check them out while I have time and I'm not worried about several other things. Apparently I thought this would be just as easy as picking out colleges, since for me, I knew what I want to do.  And I still do!  It's just where I should go and what is the best route to take for me that I have to decide.  I'm sure many of you have already experienced this when you had to look for colleges.  Except that a lot of you probably didn't know exactly what you wanted to do.  Now I feel your pain.  Not that it's a pain really, I am enjoying looking at all the amazing stuff that colleges have to offer! (If you think I'm joking, check out the link--though this is just a two year college for an Associates degree. I was kinda sad when I found that out). So I have a current list of about 20 schools to look at.  Right now I'm very open to the location, but I think going East Coast would be

New Artwork

Working with Flash on the computer: Just a "advertisment" But I worked with pictures and some graphics. Surprisingly, it took me about 90 minutes to do this. My mom's Mother's Day gift. Medium: Pastel Meant to put these in reverse order, but oh well. Close up of graphic painting-above lips. Can see the black words showing through the other layers of paint. Close up #2 Close up #3 The whole picture. This was my painting II final. First layer meant to be a topographical picture made with words from Sin City and Watchmen. In acrylic. Second layer: the primary colors and teeth in oil Third layer: The T's and L's, added to try and get a comic book feel. Oil. Fourth layer: Outline almost everything in black. Oil. Also, the white on the bottom lip is intentional. I was trying to copy the style of a black and white Sin City woman.  I think it was successful, but it still seems to be confusing for most. Finally, Narrative painting

Silhouetted by the Lights

r                     p    i A new day S        n                              g                               s into the air, taking us by surprise and for a ride. Unlike any other day, but almost as same as the one before. It tastes bitter sweet, just knowing that time goes fast and will not last...              for all good things must too, come to a close.                    For better ones to arrive. Our decisions decide our fate. Even those decisions we choose to put off. Moving along is hard, when rolling looks so easy. I appreciate all that has happened, and I have hope that good things will follow, no matter how hard they may be to understand. (the link has nothing really to do with this topic. it's just random for the person in new zealand right now). :)
