Busy Bee

So I have been pretty busy this past weekend and this week.  As always, I'm doing artwork whenever I can.  But lately, I have been trying to catch up on some reading too.  I think I'm up to reading about 5 books currently... Hah. Also, researching schools and internships when I remember to do that. All after work and socializing of course! But I promise you there is some good stuff coming up when I get everything finished. I'm pretty excited myself.  So you should get excited too!  Other than that, just check out the link. It is one of the books I am about to start once I finish one of the other ones. I heard about it not too long ago, and it looks awesome! Well hugs, love, and cookies kids!

Fire

So first two are the most recent project I've finished. But I still have about 3 more in progress ones.  The third one is a picture of my cousin about to hit the ball during his game.  And the last one I thought was neat and reminded me of a sunburst.  Plus, it fit the title "Fire." Haha!

Forgiveness

Forgiveness The hardest part in life Forgiveness The most heart-wrenching feeling Forgiveness The hardest part of love Forgiveness The hardest part of unselfishness Forgiveness Through the grace of God and the strength of faith and the help of others and a heart full of love one can forgive Temptations, masks, lies, insults the devil is all around only one light shines through Forgiveness Those whom we love Those whom we don’t love Those who hurt Those who cause pain Those who cause suffering Forgive A life of love and unselfishness is not easy Though it is possible one can forgive The hardest part in life Forgiveness The most heart-wrenching feeling Forgiveness The hardest part of love Forgiveness The hardest part of unselfishness Forgiveness Another writing piece that I wrote in high schoo

Life's Treasures

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good. 2. When in doubt, just take the next small step. 3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.. 4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch. 5. Pay off your credit cards every month. 6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree. 7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone. 8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it. 9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck. 10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile. 11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present. 12. It's OK to let your children see you cry. 13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about. 14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it. 15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God never blinks. 16. Take a deep breath.

PIXAR

So yes, I am making an entire post just for the link. I have to do something to credit the most amazing people I have not met!  So, the movie was and is amazing! (And don't worry, there are no spoilers in this post or link!) And I think, one of my top favorite Pixar movies--I've already seen it twice in 4 days...and it came out 5 days ago now...  I knew they would do well turning out the ending for the Toy Story trilogy, but as always, the result was above and beyond expectations. The fact that they can nail a story and work sweet animation into that is just so sweet that I have no words for it.  (I get kinda speechless when it comes to watching a Pixar or Disney animated movie).  I mean, it would have to be good considering they spent 2 1/2 years alone on the storyboarding and story development! (That's the job I want some day).  The other thing I really love too, is that they are truly thinking about the audiences. Just reading many books over the years about how

Self-Portrait # 271

Image
I actually did a self-portrait on my own, and it was not an assignment! Did I enjoy it? Yes. Do I like how it turned out? Sorta. Do I want to do it again? Not really.  Every piece has its time and process, and that is how you learn. Plus, the paper was free, so I would say, all in all, I'm glad I did it.

Picture Perfect

So I had duplicate/extra black and white pictures from photography class and I colored them. It was fun! And now they look even cooler.

Influences

I have a friend that has been a great influence to me and has had a great impact on my life.  She has the power and will to always do more, the will to never give up and always believe, no matter how tired she may be.    After some time, I was looking more deeply at people and judging them less.  I realized that everyone has a story and that I can never judge them just by what I see.  She has taught me to never give up and always believe and have faith no matter what.  Everyday is a chance to save someone’s life, and you will never know how or when it will be. Today, I was, again, reminded of that influence and how strong it is. So just because it rains in the morning doesn't mean it has to be gloomy all day.  And just because you don't understand the past doesn't mean you can't enjoy the present. The past is past and will never go away, so don't fret about it. Remember only good things. Things that make you laugh and the t
I added the original photo for "One Artwork"!  Just wanted to make sure you saw it :)

TMNT reference? ...I think so :)

So, first! I FINALLY finished the Disney poster!! Haha. I have been working on and off this project for like 5 years now. I know, ridiculous. So now that it is done and finished, please don't judge too hard on drawing (or I should say lack of drawing) skills. Remember, I actually drew them about 5 years ago.  Secondly, some pictures from the great Wisconsin/Chicago trip. (And yes, we found The Onion in print! Haha. Apparently their company is actually located in Wisconsin. Who knew?) Third, I hope you like comics!

Ode

Written far long ago... :)  An Ode to Young, J. Young, J. is one friend of mine And he is always there beside Though sadly after only twenty years of existence He left the world in a blunder. It happened in a blur But I remember it clearly And while you are still here Though the end will cause some tears I am here to give this ode to the famous Young. The big day came and everything was scattered about The needle and bags were all lying out. He slowly put his blood back into his body, And took a deep breath feeling all tingly inside He was happy and excited Because today would abide. Nothing at all could go bad. Today was the triathlon, The one he had been training two years for And he was saving his last bag for forever more. After succeeding, he’d be the first in his family to win the gold medal But things were too good to be true.  Once the race starte
