Self Love

One difficulty I keep facing over and over nowadays is being separated from friends or people. This occurs in such a way that we all feel a bit farther removed from each other. We don't constantly see each other (either at school or work), and it is hard to keep in touch. Everyone is so busy with life that it's hard to make time for ourselves, the people around us, our family, and friends or acquaintances far away. We are always so busy that our mental health and wellness can fall by the wayside.

To combat this mental wellness, I have undertaken various tasks and steps to help. Just in the past year, I have started meditating and looking more inward.  Already, I have learned so much about meditation and have come to a more comfortable stage with actually sitting down with myself and looking inward. In doing so, I have been able to locate some weak points, but also have found to be able to calm myself and mature as a whole person.

Another thing I have learned and want to share with you is a love of self! I wish we could all learn to look more positively on ourselves, to treat ourselves with more care, and to realize that we are always growing and learning. The longer we live the harder life can get and the more frustrations are thrown our way. But we can learn to brace ourselves for bigger impacts and deeper cuts. If we can't fully know and love ourself, how are we going on about our lives? Ask yourself: do we actually see ourselves and accept ourselves for who we are currently and not just who we want to become?

My hope, is that no matter who or where you are, please take 5 minutes for yourself (at least!) once a day. Five minutes is almost nothing in the span of your day, but you will start to notice changes very quickly. (Or at least I have)

We are meant for great things in this life, but we will not accomplish them if we burn ourselves out.
